Cary and Terry return to Buenos Aires

Straight from the airport we checked into  the Melia Recoleta Plaza Hotel.  What a homecoming!  The staff remembered us from our previous stay and welcomed us with open arms.

Hotel staff welcomes us back.

Then it was time to hit the streets.  We searched high and low, in and out of warehouses, auction houses, stalls and shops – each filled with more wonderful treasures than the next.  At the end of a long day we stopped to relax with a delightful dinner at La Brigada.  If meat is your thing, this is a place not to be missed.  We started with an array of home made breads, empañadas and sausages, followed by salad and perfectly divine french fries and finally fabulous beef tenderloin, cooked to perfection.  These courses were naturally accompanied by a Malbec wine from Mendoza.  We chose a 2007 Luigi Bosca.  And for dessert…  ice cream with –what else?–dulce de leche.  Alas, it was back to our hotel and a good night’s sleep as we looked forward to another day of new discoveries.
