Puerto Madero Waterfront

One sunny afternoon we explored the newest,  trendiest,  coolest part of  Buenos Aires–the Puerto Madero Waterfront.  Long an obsolete port of old warehouses and vacant land, in the 1990’s, the city and the country jointly began to redevelop it.  We wandered along the river and into the Buenos Aires Hilton,  the first new hotel to open.   Since then, the area has become one of high rise luxury residences, offices, elegant hotels, restaurants, art galleries, etc.   Check out some of our pictures of the Faena Hotel + Universe, designed by Philippe Stark.
